The Dunkirk JROTC has partnered with Dunkirk City Hall to hold a trick-or-treat event at City Hall and the nearby Stearns Building from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31.
The event is a JROTC service learning project that began last year, with the theme of anti-bullying. This year, the goal is for people to stop vaping. This year’s event slogan is, “Don’t be a clown, put the vape down.” Candy King Vape
“We came up with this because we see that it’s a problem every day in our world, community and specially in our school district,” said Battalion Commander David Andujar. “We would like for people to stop vaping and for their friends to help stand up for them and encourage people to stop vaping.”
There will be candy, games, prizes, music, and a corn hole competition at the event.
